On this updated version the side cuts push the wide point way back that means that when you cut back it feels like a much shorter board under your feet. Thomas calls it a shortboard in a longboard and that is the perfect description. You get all the advantages of a shortboard and a longboard. Fast, responsive and easy to turn but at the same time it’s simple to paddle and noseride.
If you’re looking for something to get you excited about longboarding again or just looking to improve your ability then step outside the traditional paradigm of surfing and step onto the all new Meyerhoffer 2.
The Meyerhoffer 2 is the next frontier of modern longboarding.
"FAST. Screamed past closing sections and also got on the nose at warp speed. Finally excited about something different. Thomas is Da-Man."

- SLX EPOXY TECHNOLOGY
SLX construction produces a controlled flex pattern by combining the versatility of epoxy materials with the added advantage of reduced weight. All SLX boards have an EPS core with a high-grade timber stringer, which is laminated by hand using epoxy resign, biaxial fiberglass and a specialized construction process.
Featuring a high strength-to-weigh ratio, and designs CNC milled directly from the shapers files. SLX boards feel light, responsive and are very sensitive under your feet. These boards are extremely versatile, easy to ride, and can be used in wide variety of conditions. You can find out more about GSI's surfboard construction on our surfboard technologies page

1uca5 from CA, USA says:
Was initially stoked on longboard float, paddle and launch with motion and flow of a shortboard, but discovered predefined criteria for measurement limits this experience. I find I'm breathing better, paddling conscientiously, and more engaged with the water. My surfing has evolved from using my Meyerhoffer. It's now my 90%ofthetime board.
Mark Shotwell from California, United States says:
I bought the 9'6" and it is the longest longboard I have ever owned. I weigh 155 but bought this length to also teach my kid to surf by riding on the front. But, boy was I in for a treat when I took the board out myself. It turns so tight and on a bigger wave (head high +) it really turns on. I can get locked in the pocket from behind the peak and then the board just screams across really long sections. Thomas Meyerhoffer lives here and surfs breaks around SF and Pacifica all the time. I have surfed with him for years and seen his shapes progress. Some of the best surfers in the area totally rip on his boards. He is one of the friendliest guys in the water and surfs real well too. I have entered the ultimate quiver giveaway and 4 of the 5 boards I chosen are his. The other is the Seaglass Project, because that is the other board I am surfing on and spun on. Every day I surf the Meyerhoffer, tons of people ask about the board and comment on how good it surfs. Yes, it works, he really did create something transformational. I just hope I win the ultimate quiver, cause my wife will leave me if I buy any more boards, but I really want to try out all his shapes. If you can, pass on the kind words to Thomas, but he definitely has already heard this from me when we have been out in the water together.
Maui Rippers from Hawaii, USA says:
After a million questions I had about this board I was dreaming about trying it. I just got home and got out today on 3-4ft Hawaiian waves at Hookipa Maui. Magical out of season swell for me. Sooo stoked. Dropped in very late and was very secure when piercing the bottom on the way back up to the shoulder, FAST. Screamed past closing sections and also got on the nose at warp speed. I will get this wildthing wired.... Day 2: Swell picked up to 5ft Hawaiian /10ft faces and the board can handle! still have the fin all the way up. Finally excited about something different. Thomas is Da-Man.
