SURFBOARD TECHNOLOGY

FutureFlex
FutureFlex represents the very latest in surfboard technology and design. The construction process combines a stringerless, high-density custom shaped EPS core laminated with biaxial fiberglass, epoxy resin and a parabolic carbon fiber frame.
The carbon fiber frame within the laminate is the key to the performance of these boards. Designed to maximize speed and drive while minimizing twisting, FutureFlex boards essentially store and release energy as the surfer transitions through a turn. The result is a fast and lively, highly responsive surfboard that's perfectly geared for high performance surfing.

Coco Mat
Coco Mat technology integrates natural random discontinuous coconut fibers into an exclusive lamination construction method to create a surfboard with amazing performance and unparalleled strength to weight ratio. After hundreds of hours surfing, as well as controlled laboratory testing, Coco Mat construction has proven to produce the lightest and strongest surfboards on the market today.
The natural coconut fibers used to make Coco Mat surfboards are readily available, need minimal processing and come from self-sustaining crops located near our manufacturing facility. For these reasons the NSP brand is proudly championing the new Coco Mat technology which offers a responsive, fluid ride with great flex characteristics, and an aesthetic that is not only original, but organically beautiful. (Coco Mat technology is Patent Pending)

SLX Epoxy
SLX construction produces a controlled flex pattern by combining the versatility of epoxy materials with the added advantage of reduced weight. All SLX boards have an EPS core with a high-grade timber stringer, which is laminated by hand using epoxy resign, biaxial fiberglass and a specialized construction process.
Featuring a high strength-to-weigh ratio, and designs CNC milled directly from the shapers files. SLX boards feel light, responsive and are very sensitive under your feet. These boards are extremely versatile, easy to ride, and can be used in wide variety of conditions.

SLXC Epoxy
SLXC construction produces a highly responsive flex pattern that stores and releases energy as the surfer transitions through a turn. Eliminating the stinger and replacing it with a parabolic carbon fiber frame allows the board to flex more naturally with the curve and flow of the wave. The result is incredible speed and drive with controlled release.
All SLXC boards are CNC milled from the shapers files then built by hand using epoxy resign, biaxial fiberglass and a specialized vacuum construction process. These boards are strong, super light and geared for high performance surfing.

Polyester (PU)
Polyester or PU construction uses traditional materials and laminating techniques to produce a strong, reliable surfboard with high quality finishes. All polyester boards are CNC milled from the shapers files and laminated by hand using quality components such as Hexcel fiberglass, Silmar resin and Bennett foam.
For years traditional polyester boards have been at the forefront of performance surfing. These boards feature a progressive flex pattern controlled by a high-grade timber stringer and feel very reliable under your feet. Polyester construction will perform in all surf conditions and can be adapted to suit a wide variety of surfboard models.

PE
PE construction combines a polyurethane foam core with high-grade timber stringer, which is laminated by hand using fiberglass cloth and an exclusive epoxy resin. Epoxy resin is used in PE construction for two important reasons. One, to reduce the rate of yellowing and discoloration of the board and two, our exclusive epoxy is more flexible than polyester and maintains the lively flex pattern typically associated with a new board.

X-2 Epoxy
X-2 Epoxy is a multi-layered sandwich construction using epoxy resin, woven fiberglass and sheets of thin wood veneer wrapped around a Nanoweld EPS core. This construction method produces a light, extremely durable surfboard that’s particularly strong on the deck. The durability and strength of X-2 Epoxy boards make them ideal for SUP’s, surfers who like to travel, and heavy beach break conditions where other boards are prone to breaking. X-2 Epoxy boards feel solid under your feet and can take an absolute beating while maintaining their appearance for many years.

X-3 Epoxy
X-3 Epoxy was created specifically to capitalize on the strength and durability of a multi-layered sandwich construction, with the added advantage of reduced weight and more flex. The unique combination of materials used in this construction creates a board with a lively feel that literally springs off the bottom. Proven to add significant performance to SUP boards due to the added drive, acceleration and glide, the strength of X-3 Epoxy is also perfect for traveling surfers looking to strike a balance between durability and performance.

Softshell
Softshell was developed for surf schools and beginner surfers who required a safe, durable, easy to ride surfboard. Softshell is essentially a thick Polyethylene skin wrapped around the deck and rail of the board, combined with a soft slick bottom surface that keeps novice riders safe in the event of impact.
Using a vacuum construction process and 100% epoxy layup eliminates peeling or bubbling and allows Softshell boards to withstand the toughest of treatment, while providing many surfers the opportunity to safely catch their first wave. The FCS Softboard System, and a set of highly flexible FCS M-5 Softflex fins are included with every Softshell board.
